The Current Post Is Dedicated.....

There once stood a boy, young and naive,
Knowing not what is sin, to suffer or grieve.
There too stood a young girl, frail and quiet,
yet she was pretty like a Rose and as lustrous as a Violet.

Their fates had begun, the ribbon had been tied.
Now the world was all theirs, an endless joyride...

Their eyes came to meet, and time slowly passed,
and on that day they promised their friendship would forever last.
To the same spot they went, to play day by day,
wondering if they could just be together and fly away.

But the world kept on spinning, time wouldn't stop,
Not for a gargantuan whale, or a tiny rain drop.
The young ones grew, their leisure slowly taken,
they never again met as much, but their friendship would never weaken.

They were bound by the freedom taking chains of education,
where things like homework and stress were forced without hesitation.
Without any choice, they had to endure,
Their memories of each other now getting obscure.

Their fates lasted long, the ribbon had long been tied.
Was it going to end soon? Was their relationship to slide?

They'd see each other again, once in a long while,
but every hour they didn't, felt like a hundred miles.
Their parents didn't care, not a whim nor a damn,
All four of them should've gone for a parenting exam.

Life just went on, and soon enough,
things just got all the more hectic and tough.
They couldn't see each other, neither day nor night,
only on the Sabbath during the sun's morning light.
It was by God's grace they were saved, from a seperation eternal,
in the House Of The Lord, the hall of the angels.

Their fates still locked together, ribbon still battered by storm and wind.
But now their hearts were matured, something was about to begin....

It was never enough it seemed, but it was better than nothing,
rather than being alone, in a world full of misunderstanding.
But now they noticed something, they'd never done before,
they were catching glimpses of each other, as a subject to adore.

Their feelings were now mixed, filled with joy yet fear,
everything now just wasn't as clear.
Their childhood now placed aside, maturity had come in,
they refused to show it, rather to keep it deep within.

For years they kept it hidden, beneath layers of lies,
they yearned to listen to their hearts, the hidden and silent cries.
Yet they could not come to say it, for the common fear of rejection,
they were quivering inside for they pondered what could actually happen.

On a silent dark night sky, 25th December of 08,
their church had just done celebrating, and it was getting late.
They sat together in the silence, talking about their past,
and remembering the promise of friendship that would forever last.

In a glimmer of star light, the girl suddenly rose to her feet,
the boy then grasped onto her tightly, listening to the sound of her heartbeat.
She was tearing very strongly, the boy got really worried,
it was scarce to see her cry, not a common sight indeed.

"Why?", asked the boy "Why do you cry? Are you in dire pain? Or is something in your eye?"
"I can't do this", she said "I can't go on living a lie, my heart's suffered so long, it feels it is soon to die."
There was a swish, a thump, the fall of many tears,
for now the birthday of Jesus, had driven them from all fears.

The boy got the message, in his heart he flew with glee,
he now knew feelings were mutual, but this still wasn't easy.
"We've been together for years, as long as I can remember,
what are we trying to say on this 25th of December?"

The words were exchanged, and the hollow night seemed to break,
they both knew now with confidence, there would be no more heartache.
For it took them 16 years, to find what was heartfelt and true,
to muster all their courage, and to finally say I Love You

Their fates were now deadlocked, ribbon as strong as steel.
Now they stood together, with a feeling so surreal....

LIFE'S WHAT YOU MAKE OF IT, TO HATE OR TO ADORE.
APPRECIATE THOSE YOU CARE FOR NOW, BEFORE THEY ARE NO MORE....
